Here we go again, another Bullshit decision made by someone who has no idea what is really going on.

I felt like storming off and slamming the door... but I couldn't.

I am sure you may have experienced this feeling and experience before...

Ultimately feeling this way was not doing me any good.

My work life was suffering as were my interactions and relationships...

and not just my professional relationships.

Something had to change....

The only thing that could change was me....

I couldn't do anything other than learn how to change my response...

This is how I did it...

1. This is tough, but you know what....so am I

2. I am not in charge of this situation, but I am in charge of how I respond

3. I haven't figured this out.....YET

4. I can learn and grow from this challenge

5. If I break this down into steps then this will be achievable

I had these written down on my desk and I would read these daily

Over a period of time, this became my way of thinking

and you know what...

I very often would get great results...

Even more, I got promoted ... my career excelerated and I was given more responsibility.

What I recognised here was that in the moment, I often felt overwhelmed with frustration...

Using these 5 points I was able to create different perspective and be able to re-frame my thinking.

It also meant that I was in charge of my mindset, because I now had choice.
