It had been staring her in the face all week long...
That was the aha moment...
The moment the penny dropped
and the fog lifted.
She described it as if someone had finally given her the right glasses to wear.
How did she get to this moment?
Through a 20 minute coaching session where she engaged with me, her coach...
about something that had been bothering her for over a week.
How often do we do this, or that we see others doing it...
Procrastinating over asking for help or even just talking it through?
Procrastination is the biggest theif of time and of our life...
Because none of us know exactly how long we have.
As we went onto to explore possible work arounds, strategies and the root cause
she realised that this had been playing out in her life for years.
Within 20 minutes she had cleared the problem, come up with a strategy that she believed would work for her.
She left with a smile on her face and confidence that she could apply the strategy.
3 days later...
She gives me a phone call and told me that her best friend was talking to her again and they had cleared the air...
She went onto explain how the fear of getting it wrong was what was truly holding her back...
and during our 20 minute mini coaching session she was able to let go of the fear of getting it wrong...
realising that her friendship was much more important.
I am pleased to say, that 8 months on, I saw her out with her friend having coffee the other day...
So it must have worked...
