I often talk about the journey....
Being on the joureny....
But what is the "Fcucking Journey" I often get asked lol...
I found this image the other day and I believe this is an excellent graphical breakdown of the journey...
Each and every journey is different, but the same...
We face these struggles....
We lose friends, perhaps we lose family...
There are so many reasons why we lose friends and family, and it is at this point that most people will abandon their journey....One of the main reasons is fear of disconnection.
The fear of disconnection initially starts with the friends and family recognising your growth and development and you will start to hear things like....
"You have changed"
"That's not like you, I prefered the old you"
"Why do you want to change, your fine as you are"
"I don't like what you are becoming"
or similar things......the reason for their concern is that they are fearful that you will learn something new that will mean you can see through their "mask" or "facade" that you will realise that they are really scared and unsure of themselves, that you may think of them as "not enough" or a "fake" or "fraud".....
So to stop you from getting that close, they need to sabotage your journey....and they do that by chipping away at you with hurtful, snide comments. Or perhaps disconnecting from you and saying that they will only talk to you if you "stop this nonsense" or "stop wasting your time and money"...
Then your fear grows.....your fear of disconnection....
You worry that you will become abandoned, left all alone, billy no mates.....and you start to question if you should stop your journey....
So you have these thoughts running around your head...
But remember why you started the journey, because you didnt want to keep feeling the way you were....could you really go back to that?
If they are true friends and family, perhaps they will come with you on the journey, at minimum they should allow you the freedom to be you...
because it is when that happens that you realise that you are connected, you are loved, that they are connected too and that they too are loved.
The fear of disconnection is universal in all humans, because we are mammals, we are social animals, we need to be connected, and we will do whatever we need to do to stay connected.
This is a primative part of our make up as human beings, so we follow it subconciously all the time....
If we can raise our awareness to a concious level, it doesn't need to impact us as much....
This is what I do, I assist others on their journey by explaining, sharing, educating and raising awareness to patterns of human behaviour....
Where are you on your journey?
Are you stuck?
